Dusty Van Co. is a family business located in southern Connecticut, and run by a team of three:  Rob (that’s me), my wife Emma (hello!), and my father Ken. The company was established after converting our own personal van, which Emma and I lived in while traveling around the United States.  We later sold our van and received loads of positive feedback and people asking if we would be building more vans.  This sparked the idea to start a van conversion company where we could share our creations with others.

Our team has over 40 years of combined experience in engineering, custom fabrication, and vehicle modification.  We have worked as aerospace engineers, designed complex machinery & mechanical/electrical systems, and developed consumer products. We enjoy using our design skills and manufacturing expertise to create one-of-a-kind components, systems, and features that are incorporated into each build to give every van a truly special and unique feel.

While we lived and traveled in our van, we experienced the highs and lows of living together with another person in the close proximity a van provides and managing day-to-day life in different climates and scenarios.  This first-hand experience has given us an improved perspective on how to design and layout a van build that is functional, comfortable and space efficient. At the end of the day, we love to thrill our customers and provide them with a beautiful, reliable van that they are happy to call home.
